My Christmas Wisk......

Christmas shopping during an economic downturn can cause inadvertent creativity.  I can totally get behind and am 100% FOR homemade gifts (go etsy!).  But not when they are made by yours truly.  Because you will without a doubt wind up with some serious random crap wrapped in cellophane (or thrown into a gift bag that I most likely received from someone else last year).  So I got to thinking.  Maybe instead of reaching for the rhinestones and craft glue (which would only end with completely insincere "thank you, it's SOOOO cute" 's), I'll ask for some help.  This is where you come in.  Yes you.

I need recipes.  Good ones.  But not like Martha Stewart complicated (have you ever tried to make something from her magazine?  And did it turn out ANYTHING like the picture?  I rest my case.).  I need recipes for things that are possible to make with three energizer bunny on speed-like children pouncing around the kitchen.  Because these recipes you're about to give me will most likely be given (maybe even in the form of a book) to my sister-in-laws, most of whom have kids that are very much like my own.  They run.  Fast.  And occasionally scale walls. Two words: cooking mayhem.

So here's the deal.  E-mail me your favorite recipes.  They can be for anything.  And if you send me 3 or more recipes?  I'll send you a copy of  this.......thing I'm making (which you may or may not consider a reward).  I'd call it a "book" but that could create some unrealistic expectations. So we'll stick with "thing".

Email me at annielewis@mac.com
and if you feel so inclined, leave me your address {you can also contribute via comment but you might not want to leave your address.  There are some serious wack-a-doo's out there}.  And if you happen to be one of my sister-in-laws and you're reading this?  SURPRISE!  Your getting recipes for Christmas!

I'm totally planning on sending you at least 3 recipes...so I qualify to receive the book. I think it's a great idea.

oh, and Gwen doesn't just sit in the shopping cart all happy and pleasant, you just caught us at a good moment...and left early enough to miss the wild tantrum and my bribing.

Hmmm... mind if I join in? I have a few recipes I could share that are easy and good. By the way, I have gone private on my blog, so I will send you an invite. I love your blog Annie. Makes me laugh. I can almost hear you saying everything you write! Love it!
